State Bio Control Laboratory (SBCL) comes under Barrister Thakur Chedilal College of Agriculture & Research Station, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, situated at Sesal Farm, Chorbhatti, Kota Road, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Laboratory building along with set up of state Bio Control Laboratory was transferred from Department of Agriculture to Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya in 2013. The laboratory is fully equipped and operational since, August 2014 and having production capacity of bio-pesticides @ 1 ton/day. The mandates are-

 Organizing training and demonstration programmes for farmers on production and use of

      Bio-pesticides for control of insect-pests.

 To trained group of farmer’s, individual farmer to install production unit of bio-pesticides

      and provide inputs required for mass product of bio-pesticides.

 Mass production of bio-control agents for marketing in India.
